disposable contact lenses

I've been wearing corrective lenses for over 40 years. I've been using Accuvue daily wear lenses for like 20 years or so, then started using the Accuvue Moist single use disposables about a year ago. They work fine, and I've come to enjoy the convenience of not having to store them, but they are pretty expensive. I have typically just gotten them through my optometrist. time to reorder, so I started shopping a bit. 1800contacts is the most expensive place online, but the cheapest I found was just under $60 for a one month supply. there are some deals that involve rebates and large orders that keep the cost down, but nobody comes close to Hubble without the gimmicky rebate system, which I hate. I don't really want to give you my money so you can give it back to me two months from now. fuck that shit.

these lenses are $30 for a one month supply, that is, 30 lenses for each eye. I got my free two week trial lenses today and have been wearing them for an hour. they seem to be of very high quality, and comfortable enough so far. I like the idea of spending under $400 per year on lenses instead of $800. anybody else use Hubble?

I like the night and day contacts. I sleep in them and everything. They say you need to dispose of them monthly but I usually get a few months out of them before they start drying out. I’ve been using them for about 15 years now and need to renew. So I just go to the eye doc and do my exam and order new ones every other year.

Don’t be a cheap ass wearing contacts for longer then they were meant to be worn.... The wife works at an eye clinic and sees all the fools taking the shortcuts when wearing contacts... You only get one set of eyes, don’t fugg with em....

Pretty much what I did in junior high and high school. Now they irritate my eyes if I wear them much at all.

Wish I was more help to you Jamie. Good luck finding a cheaper source.

I developed papillary conjunctivitis from wearing contact lenses most of my life. My eye doctor prescribed me Accuvue Osaysis daily lenses and I was able to wear contacts again. I buy from lens.com. will check out your site for sure.

Hubble sells their own brand of lenses, so I'm a little skeptical as I take my eye health very seriously. The two week trial is pretty nice. $3 for shipping, lenses are free. have had them in all afternoon now, and the feel as good as my Accuvue Moist lenses ever do. Eye doc has given me several brands to try in the last few years to try to find better fit/more comfort, but I always wind up back with the Accuvue. if these provide me all day comfort, I'll be signing up for monthly delivery.

Hubble is a little limited when it comes to special lenses. The wife had looked at them a little while ago and hey didn’t carry what she wore. Prior to her working for the eye surgeons she wore the accuvue but has since changed to a better contact for her needs.

Best thing to do is not over wear em and prevent those issues... Nothing worse then having to surgically removing contacts from someone’s eyes...

I was just at my eye doctor getting my eyes done and was opting to try the multi-focal lenses since I am getting to need of bi-focals. They started talking about the daily wear like what you have and I was shocked at the cost. I asked about monthly throw away and decided to go that route as it was a fraction of the yearly cost. They basically said the daily wear are best for people that don't like to clean their contact lenses.

I got my first pair of glasses at age 8. I was in 3rd grade. High school I got contacts.

In 2005 I got the lasik routine done for $ 1800. I went from blind to 20-15 vision and felt like I was born again.

That was the best thing I have done in life besides have my children.

Now at 47.....still no need for corrective vision.

.....look at all the money and hassle I've saved so far.

Prices on lasik have come down since then if you are a potential candidate.

I'm not the best candidate for Lasik according to eye doctor.

I will say that these Hubble lenses at half the cost are just as comfortable as anything I've ever used. In fact, my eyes are less dry so far using these. give it another few days...

since I decided to give Hubble lenses a go for real, I did not cancel my subscription within the specified time period. My first months supply of lenses arrived automatically, on time, and required no effort on my part besides walking to the mailbox. After wearing these for three weeks, all day everyday like I always do, I have to say that my eyes are less dry than with the Accuvue Moist lenses, thereby more comfortable. these lenses seem a little more "rigid" when handling them, which I also like. big (y) for Hubble contact lenses. I would encourage anyone who wears single use lenses to give them a try.

Boy... I wish I could wear lenses again. Back in the 70's I wore hard lenses and loved them. I used to wear them 20 some hours straight without even taking them out to wet.. Never knew they were in. I never slept with them in though as that was a no no.. As I got older I found wearing glasses to be better. Tried bifocal lenses but no good..

Wife worked for a Dr who during his residency had to have his surgically removed for wearing for too long....

My wife and both our kids wear contacts. The wife was always adamant about not sleeping in them. My son was always good about it but the daughter not so much when they were younger. Now she’s more consistent doing it.
