    Tagged Out in Allen County

As luck would have it, I'm officially tagged out, in Allen County. I'd have to hunt elsewhere, if I were to go after another one. However, I've got meat in my freezer and I'm happy to be done. Perhaps now, I can have some time to go after some coyotes. I've shot 2 deer with my Elite...

    Lottery?

Yesterday, my wife asked me if I won the lottery for a 1 million dollars and on the same day she got kidnapped and the ransom was also 1 million dollars, "What would I do?" I said, "I wouldn't even worry about it." She said, "Why?" I said, "There's no way that I'd get that lucky twice...

    School Suspension

Just got a call from the school superintendent to let me know that my son is being suspended. Apparently, he asked, "If 2 blind people have a kid, who's gonna watch it?" :ROFLMAO:

    Turkey Decoys for Deer Hunting?

I've been using 2 hen turkey decoys for a distraction, in areas where I'm deer hunting. The decoys are always in plain sight, so as not to startle the deer. I've had a couple of smaller bucks (a 4 pointer and a 6 pointer) that have reacted the same way that the large doe did, that I shot last...

    Broke In The Elite HNTR33

It's been almost 2 years, since I've shot a deer with a bow and this evening I broke in the Elite HNTR33. There are some old does in the area and they're pretty quick about "hawk-eyeing" me in the tree. Enough to be annoying. :cautious: So I decided to put out a couple of hen turkey decoys, to...

    CWD Checking Station Ignorance

I was hunting Hardin County's DSA area with my neighbor and he shot a button buck. It was about 10 minutes before the end of hunting hours and it took us a good 25 minutes to find him in the massive brush entanglement that he hid inside of, after the shot. After we got him in the truck, we had...

Summit Open Shot with a Squeaking Platform

I purchased this Summit Open Shot, last year, from a guy on FB Marketplace. He said he only used it 1 year and doesn't have the time to hunt, so he sold it to me. This year, I've noticed it having a slight squeak to it and at first I just thought it was the type of bark on the tree I was...

    Just Passin' Thru

I was thinking about rappelling down, when I looked over and spotted this little guy. He was checking out the food plot for squirrels.

    Debt Free

Wish me luck, because I have a meeting with the bank later this afternoon. If everything goes as planned, I'll be completely debt free. :sneaky: I'm so excited, that I can hardly put on my ski mask. ;)

    2 Things to Worry About....

If you're healthy or if your sick, you only have 2 things to worry about. If you're healthy, you don't have anything to worry about. If you're sick, you only have 2 things to worry about. If you're going to live or if you're going to die. If you live, you don't have anything to worry about. If...

    Hunting vs. Women

Hunting is better than chasing women, because if you bag a big one, you can actually tell your friends about it. :ROFLMAO:

    Elite HNTR33

I've got it sighted in, out to 50 yards, but here's the 40 yard results. The shadow of the arrow shafts, shows the closeness of the shafts. I'm very happy with this Elite HNTR33! Very smooth draw cycle too. At the archery pro shop the digital scale shows it at a 58# Draw Weight and...

    Darwin Awards - 2004

I love the Darwin Awards!!! :sneaky: Especially, their subtitle.... "Dedicated to those who improve the gene pool, by removing themselves from it." I recall the 2004 Darwin Award nominee who had purchased a large lava lamp in early December. He decided that the lava wasn't moving around fast...

First Hard Antlers of the Season

I was hoping to get a velvet buck with the season opening on the 13th, but it's not looking good with this guy scraping it off already.

    Body Count for 2025

I've shot more g-hogs this year, than last year. So, next year is going to be a serious challenge. 24 with the M&P Sport 22LR. 8 with the Savage 22-250. I just shot #8 a few minutes ago, in the soy beans, at 187 yards. The 55 gr. V-Max never left her body at 3850 fps....she ate it all. :sneaky:

    Sense of Humor

Ever wonder if God has a sense of humor? Just remember that the first 9 months of your life you spent it trying to get outside of a woman. Then you spend the rest of your life trying to get back into one. :ROFLMAO:

    Apples

I gathered up some apples from an orchard and put them out along the edge of the woods at the back of my house. I was curious to see if any of the big bucks from back in the woods would show up. Nothing yet, the the first 24 hours has been entertaining. :) There's a doe with a single fawn that...

    Only 1 Broadhead

If all of your current and/or past broadheads were "gone" and you were left to choose "Only 1 Broadhead" for all of your hunting needs..... What would be your choice? I'm going with a VPA single bevel (left bevel) in either a 100 or 125 grain.

    Go Woke, Go Broke

Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino's decision to 'decolonize' the company starting by removing the old-fashioned country gentleman meant to evoke nostalgia and Americana from the logo is hammering the stock wiping out $250 Million in value. Since Felss became CEO the stock is down 34% erasing...
