    Anyone fish Clear Fork Reservoir?

Clear Fork Reservoir is closer, for me, than Lake Erie and safer too. I've been reading the ODNR stats on this piece of water and it sounds like it's a potiential producer of larger fish. * Has anyone fished it and knows what's there to catch? I plan on taking my kayak and doing some...

Fish chasing stringer with fish... What were they?

I was trolling in my kayak on Findlay Res. #2 and had caught a perch that was 11" long. I put him on a stringer, in hopes that I'd catch more and have some to eat. As I was trolling along, in about 18' of water, the stringer fish jerked the kayak. Not all that uncommon for a fish to fight the...

In the Market for a Fish Finder

Alright guys, I have a 14ft aluminium boat, with a 4 horse motor and a trolling motor. I'm in the market for a Fish Finder. I only have 600 bucks or so total in my boat/trailer/motor etc., so I don't want to break the bank and go all out on a Fish Finder if I don't have to. What are you...

    Which lake to fish?

I'm going to be in Columbus, during the first week of May, but anticipate the business day to end early and would like to finish up on a good note. I'd like to do some kayak fishing, while I'm in the area. I'm favoring the north and west sides of Columbus, because I'll these areas will be on my...

Keeping fish from a fishing trip?

I've been giving some thought to fishing at the AEP areas in S.E. Ohio. However, I'd like to keep a few of the fish that I'd catch there and am wondering what would be the best way to go about it. I'm open to suggestions. What do you guys do with fish that you keep, but are on an extended...

    What's your largest fish?

The largest fish that I've taken with a bow, was a 13 lb. carp and it was in the Clear Fork river...about 2 miles south of the Pleasant Hill dam. Seems like any fish under 5 lbs. will just thrash around, after being stuck. However, anything over the 6 to 8 lb. range, you'll see your arrow...

    Earliest you've seen "shootable" fish?

What's the earliest time of the year that you've seen carp or other shootable fish? I can't remember seeing any fish moving in the steams/rivers before late May. By June there should be a good population of carp in both the lakes and rivers. Thank you, Bowhunter57

First, I must say that this is my first year of ice fishing. I love it, but it's not without its' frustrations. :smiley_crazy: I've never been shut out while fishing in open water. However, I've had several days of nothing, since I've been ice fishing. :smiley_confused_vra I've not caught a...
