Jamie the new snares are very shiney and yotes see and avoid them.
You can just boil them in baking soda to take the shine off but i have found they blend in better dyed and i noticed my catches go up after dying them.JMO
And hey,i dont see anything wrong with a well furred beaver.lol

Got out today and looked around for yote sign, saw quite a few tracks and some trails i will set on when i get started.
But man i saw a ton of deer sign, some nice rubs and lots of old scraes and some recently opened up.
Was such a nice day out to take a little hike.
Pulled a cam card i havn't checked in awhile and had some nice pics also.

Got a few beaver and yote sets in today.
Going to get more out on Wednesday and thursday.
Time to start cathing some critters.uploadfromtaptalk1451162198321.jpguploadfromtaptalk1451162210880.jpguploadfromtaptalk1451162226567.jpguploadfromtaptalk1451162240239.jpguploadfromtaptalk1451162252318.jpguploadfromtaptalk1451162263967.jpgThat last pic should be good for a couple on those two trails.
Also found an old deer carcass about half eaten with lots of yote scat and tracks running on the trails coming to it.
Set a couple there so should be good to go when they come back through.
Just wish it wasn't going to rain the next 4 days.

Got out early this morning and beat the rain that was heading my way.
Who knew it would be 67 degrees checking beaver sets.
The creek was up several feet and had one in a snare swimming around.
Had a heck of a time getting him as he kept slapping his tail and going under.
When i set it yesterday it was up on dry bank,he was a nice one at 51 pounds.
Dont look to catch any yotes till this heavy rain gets out.
Supposed to be nice after monday so will try and put in more yote sets tues, wed and thursday.
