Earliest you've seen "shootable" fish?

What's the earliest time of the year that you've seen carp or other shootable fish?

I can't remember seeing any fish moving in the steams/rivers before late May. By June there should be a good population of carp in both the lakes and rivers.

Thank you, Bowhunter57

We have been shooting fish for 3 or 4 weeks. Early season we shoot all of our fish at nite. Heck this past weeekdn we went to a tournament in Indiana and shot half the nite in a snowstorm.

I saw suckers in the creek the other night
I was showing some guys where to fish for them
As they smoke them

But I normaly wait till late May
Then the creeks and back waters are full of carp
