Hand Sewn Tab

I've made 2 or 3 of these tabs and they're similar to the Safari Tuff tab. I used 2 layers of Wilson football leather and a 3rd layer of soft chamois leather. Then I sewed it together with sinew, after drilling the holes thru all 3 layers. I also added a finger loop that's adjustable. :)
I shot it this afternoon with my ILF Longbow and ILF Recurve. It made shooting both bows much easier, as I was able to hold the string at full draw longer and in more comfort. (y)

I'm starting to enjoy building these tabs. :) I made another one and finished the leather surface by rubbing some bees wax into the surface with a metal spoon. I finished the surface on the first one I built too, as it was starting to get "fuzzy" showing wear from the string serving.

This tab has 1 layer of Wilson football leather and 2 layers of the chamois leather. So far, I prefer the more pliable chamois leather, but both tabs are working well with both my recurve and longbow.
