Does anyone else's smoker get black tar around the lid ring making it damn near impossible to open? I used the chips the sent with it...

Yep.. Just Open the lid and use to torch to burn i off...

I was thinking the same thing swan, it doesnt make me want to hurl, but i think i am going to change my wood chips this year. hickory is just TOO easy to find. I can get a pretty nice sized bag of them at lowes all year around.
