My thoughts on the deer herd.

1 thing I have learned in my 20 years of hunting whitetail is, every hunter basically justifies why they kill the deer they kill. "I needed a deer for summer sausage" "It was my black powder kill", "My neighbors boy has never killed a deer", "its my first kill with a compound", "its cull buck", "its a old doe"."this is a meat spot", "i want to kill a deer with my new crossbow" etc, etc, etc. A lot of these hunters will preach doe conservation as long as their personal interest are met. As long as the state allows current regulations hunters will continue to justify their kills, I don't know if this is goods bad or indifferent. I don't know if a lot people should care about the deer population with the limited opportunities for an average joe.
