Turkey hunting: Ashtabula county near Orwell

Hey my friends! Trying for a double this year. Going out to a property we have in Orwell of State Route 45 on Monday AM. Haven't ever been out that way to hunt turkey. Every year I hunt deer there for a couple days, to no avail (lots of Amish around there [emoji52]) . Lol. Anyways. Wanted to know if anyone knew the area and any turkey around there? I know Ashtabula has a good amount of birds just haven't been able to scout cuz of my schedule. Either way it's looking like a beautiful day to be in the woods!

Recient years, I have seen less and less birds and more fox and yotes. 5-10 years ago I would see flocks of 20-30+ in the fields. Now it’s a dozen. Killing some crows as well as yotes would be time well spent off season.
Best of luck!

Like Jim, I’m seeing less and less. Most of my mature birds have come home from Ashtabula but I didn’t hear a single gobble last Saturday when taking my son out for youth. That said, I have never had good success in Ashtabula till 3rd weekend in May :)

Tukeys must have flew south for the spring! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
