Wood tree stands vs squirrels

Thanks for allowing me "guest status" and Hi.
I have a number homemade ladder tree stands with wooden boxes to sit in. The box sides are made of plywood and painted with solid stain. I takes the squirrels about 2-3 years to eat holes in the plywood. I've been told that they like the glue, but I think they are just jerks. I tried putting cayenne pepper in the top coat of the stain...didnt stop them, but it took them longer to chew the wood up. This spring, I stapled 1/4 in screening on all the insides of the plywood.
Anyone have any better ideas?

Aluminum flashing, line both sides....

Find sometime to hunt the little jerks or have a friend with a squirrel dog and a .22 to help you out in late season after you're done hunting deer....

:pickle: dang, you guys are more clever than I thought...

killing squirrels is easier than building treestands and a fuck of a lot more fun. have dogs, will travel. ;)

Lmao!

Great way to introduce a new hunter into hunting. Go hunt them! They are really good eating TOO. I also know a guy with some killer squirrel recipes...[emoji23] btw, I used that jar in a stir fry. Damn good eats! Thanks again
