I'm just now turing on the news & finding out. How can anyone be so selfish & ruin the lives of so many people.
Teachers and Administrators need to be able to carry. That's first and foremost!
How many gunman could be taken out before things get out of hand if faculty could carry?
The worst has already happened. Now, I fear a "knee jerk reaction" as a solution to this problem.
Arming the teachers would take time, but you have to start somewhere. Then again, there would be teachers that wouldn't want to carry, so there's that problem.
Adding security, such as scanners, metal detecting wands with trainned individuals to use them, etc. would be a huge added cost and the long debate of who pays for it all.
I dread the following months of decisions, by the higher powers and the end decision. :smiley_depressive:

Sad. So very sad.
In regards to our grandparents and parents never dealing with issues like this, it is simple. Back in the day if someone had just an ounce of crazy to them they were locked up. There were no labels. There were no pills to help control their behaviors. There was no "mental illness." They were labeled as crazy and locked up. Right or wrong, I don't know. You didn't hear crap like this on the headlines though.
I have 0, not an ounce of sympathy for these people.
I agree! There are far too many people that don't take responsibility for their own actions. They're always putting the blame on something or someone else, trying to sue someone for something that they did and creating law suits for other to follow...thinking that's the "proper way" to handle their own mistakes. Nuts! :smiley_crazy:xbowgirl said:I get so damn tired of the excuses and "reasons" people come up with for behaviors and actions.
