Will it ever end? Shootings

We'll see what great insight obama has to offer. Roll eyes.
I don't understand why a few teachers can't be qualiflied by the locol pd or sheriffs office to carry a gun. Have the training be geared to defending students not chasing down the bad gun. Banks and other business have armed gaurd why now train a few teachers in each school.

The shooter was a 20 year old son of the teacher. They have also located a body at her residence which is likely a male living with his mother Father/boyfriend/step dad etc.. So the kid caps dad, goes to the school, shoots the principal and the school psychologist, goes to his mothers room, kills her then starts shooting kids.. Then dies of a self inflicted gunshot wound. They arrested someone in the woods but aren't calling him a suspect.

Teachers and Administrators need to be able to carry. That's first and foremost!

How many gunman could be taken out before things get out of hand if faculty could carry?

This was my first thought exactly.

My heart just hurts for these families. I couldnt imagine losing my child to such a sensless act. Such young and innocent children and their lives stripped away from them at such an early age by a selfish coward.

You would have to be so far gone and so mentally ill to be able to do what he did. I've been playing it over and over in my head as to how someone could do this. I thought about my boys and cried a bit.

Can't even find the words to say. My jaw literally dropped when i heard this news. This is just plain out discusting. My prayers go out to all the families affected. And as many others agree, let a few teachers carry and maybe that will prevent or at least slow down actions like this.

Its unbelievable...

My girlfriend was a wreck when she got home from teaching today and put the news on. It hit us like a ton of bricks.

Sending lots of love to those folks

The worst has already happened. Now, I fear a "knee jerk reaction" as a solution to this problem.

Arming the teachers would take time, but you have to start somewhere. Then again, there would be teachers that wouldn't want to carry, so there's that problem.

Adding security, such as scanners, metal detecting wands with trainned individuals to use them, etc. would be a huge added cost and the long debate of who pays for it all.

I dread the following months of decisions, by the higher powers and the end decision. :smiley_depressive:

All wouldn't have to carry, but you'd be surprised how many would be willing.

The expense part in regard to metal detectors and such is a great point.

Sad. So very sad.

In regards to our grandparents and parents never dealing with issues like this, it is simple. Back in the day if someone had just an ounce of crazy to them they were locked up. There were no labels. There were no pills to help control their behaviors. There was no "mental illness." They were labeled as crazy and locked up. Right or wrong, I don't know. You didn't hear crap like this on the headlines though.

I am sorry but this everyone fucking crazy shit is getting old. He was troubled shit, he should have went goth, or something. Not killed people, he knew what he was doing, I have 0, not an ounce of sympathy for these people.

There are lots of crazy people, like Ron White says "he should have rolled his shit up into balls, but he killed people I guess he chose the wrong crazy" (paraphrased)

All in All just make sure we are thankful for what God has given us.

I get so damn tired of the excuses and "reasons" people come up with for behaviors and actions.
I agree! There are far too many people that don't take responsibility for their own actions. They're always putting the blame on something or someone else, trying to sue someone for something that they did and creating law suits for other to follow...thinking that's the "proper way" to handle their own mistakes. Nuts! :smiley_crazy:

Thoughts and prayers go out to all who were effected during this tragic event and those who will be forever scarred because of it. My heart is very heavy for the parents who are suffering the loss of a child, especially this close to Christmas.

Why do people feel the need to kill innocent people when they are ready to eat a bullet?!? This shit is getting old! They are not crazy and know exactly what they are doing!

Watch the gun control activists go ape shit and cause our government to get stupid with typical knee jerk counters!
