Very happy/sad situation there Diane. Glad you still have momma and the other pups. Sorry you lost one. She looked tired in the picture. Not a surprise though.

So I had our "big" show at the fairgrounds this weekend. Got to meet Frank but didn't get to chat much unfortunately. Wish we had time to sit around and shoot the breeze a bit more.

I will post this to hopefully boost Diane's spirits and put a smile on Sam's face along with any others who may recall my son's guinea pig madness. My son has had some unfortunate experiences with his guinea pigs in the last year. He has lost two of them. One was the victim of a death by boxer slobber experience and the other we are not sure but think it was complications in a pregnancy. He ended up with a male and female and wanted to raise some babies. Over the weekend his Momma pig "Butterscotch" delivered 4 baby guinea pigs. Unfortunately, he also lost his pet frog on the same day. Poor kid can't win for losing but he is very excited to have 4 babies he plans on selling.

Is this the same frog that you saved from the sink drain???????

That's great about the guinea pig babies! I used to love having them babies. Found the color scheme and the fact that they immediately start running around, totally fascinating! Good for him!

I believe it is the same frog. Poor thing has been thru some stuff. He was perfectly healthy looking and acting last week. Weird.

Yep. I got home and the kids were holding them. They are simply just mini versions of the adults. Crazy stuff. Color schemes surprised me some. Two were all white. Garrett said 'those are the twins daddy'. lol

Some find it strange how a dog, cat, horse, or frog for that can become such a loved member of our families. You're a good mother xbowgirl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and the wife decided to buy a camper, now that the kids are grown, we decided it was time for some "us" time. We got a really good deal on a Jayco Eagle 312, 30 ft with a 14 ft slide out. And after we bought it I broke the news to the wife that I was going to have to buy another truck to tow it with, so I found a 99 Ford F250 4 wheel drive Lariat edition, mechanic owned and very well taken care of. It was a win win situation, the wife got her camper and I got a new truck!!

Looks great Tad! You should really enjoy that combo. Have you pulled a camper in the past or is this a new adventure?

Sorry that you lost one pup Diane, but glad momma and the others are doing well.

Got the girls shotgun dialed in today and Karissa did me proud behind the Remington as well!

Back in the airport headed back to columbus... FL weekend went way too fast. Pretty sure the constant drinking all weekend didn't help either haha

Glad Joy is OK Diane!

Congrats on the new toys Tad!

Rick, glad that the girls are getting it dialed in!

Hope your liver recovers TJ!

I took the kids to Cabela's today & my son got to shoot a big boy bow. We didn't leave with it in hand though, he's gonna have to earn it first. I did get him a release as a reminder of my commitment to him, he now has to hold up his end of the deal.

Next on the agenda was to get both kids camo'd up. But after hunting through racks of clothes I couldn't break the bank on buying two sets of camo's there. Against my better judgement I tried Dick's next. That store still sucks, they didn't have much youth camo and what they did have was over priced. Next stop, good ole Wally World. Outfitted 2 kids with new pants & shirts for less than it would've cost to buy one pair of pants at the other stores.

So, now it's time to get to scouting some more this week to find some birds. The kiddos are both ready to roll.

Nice looking setup BB17. I love those Ford body styles.

If you have any questions on towing (weights, WD hitches, brakes & controllers, bearings, mechanical workings) don't hesitate to shoot me a PM. Camping is a great family activity, even if its just you in the Mrs. You'll find that a checklist & "system" for packing/hooking up and unloading/setting up will help in the relationship area. If you're not using a back up camera, or the Mrs. Isn't good with knowing what you want when trying to get in a tight spot, I highly recommend some cheap HH radios.

Pulled alot of trailers Phil but havent pulled a camper before, ya got any hints or helpful info?

Thanks Diane

I think with all the folks we have on here maybe we should start a camper thread. There are so many little tips and tricks you learn over the years which might help a novice camper or even an experienced one. I know I still learn things from others camping fairly often.

Here is why I asked: If you do not have a load distributing hitch you should BUY one! Even on my dually with Timbrens front and rear I noticed the load a bit with our old 28' bumper pull camper. If you can swing the style with anti-sway bars I would recommend it. You can never be too safe. When I was an EMT I watched Life Flight land on the interstate because an Excursion pulling a 30+ foot camper lost it. There is not enough conversation to keep the minds of an 8 and 10 yr old off their mommy while you are working on them in the squad while the paramedics are working on mommy. That is all I am saying. Big truck or little truck, a camper can get away from you.

Looks like we are heading to Ft Wayne this upcoming weekend to do an extra show. Just lined everything up. Anyone in the area interested in seeing some products at the show? Shoot me a PM. Who am I kidding? None of you guys live there except Gern. Seems you are all in central, eastern, or southern Ohio. lmao

shot my bow tonight, shot like crap... granted my shoulder hasn't been right for 3 days and haven't slept the past two nights. I was shaking everywhere when trying to shoot.

Shouldn't you have posted this in the dump thread? Lol

J/K TJ, don't let it get you down man! Give yourself a week to recuperate and get back at it slowly. Just shoot from 20 yards or closer working on your form and build back your strength till your groups tighten before anything further and you'll be fine.
