Guys keep your fingers crossed. I got my chance at a big buck and took my shot. I just followed a blood trail for 300 yards to the edge of the property I have permission on. I'm going to go knock on the neighbor's door and see if I can keep looking. Could not find my arrow but there is a steady drip of blood for 300 yards and I shot him about an hour ago.

If u get permission give him a while. It shouldnt snow so u should be able to track him ok. Good luck!!

Just walked back in the door. I followed that trail for over 2 miles and had to hang it up for the night. LOTS of blood was lost out of that deer. Flashlights were dying and I pulled something in my leg, no fun walking in that deep snow. I'm drinking beer and trying to process everything now.
Hopefully you can find him tomorrow Joel. If he lost that much blood, he should be getting tired, in this cold, you want him to lay down anyhow. He should be just a bit up the trail now. Are you off tomorrow by chance? Be easier in the daylight.
Ya he's gotta be laid down not far up the trail now. I bet you'll find him there in the morning. You'll get him.
