Yea I heard the same thing about the weather this weekend, JD. I hope it decides to stay warm for a while so the turks start talkin and the morels start poppin up. How easy is it to blow up that decoy? From the videos I've seen, it looks a little slow...

Wow that's not bad at all! I might have to start stashing away my extra pennies and get one of those things!

It's an awesome looking decoy, but I'm not shelling out $80 for a deke until I decide if turkey hunting is something I'll do with regularity. Time for them to do a deer deke!!!

Dang that's a lot of money for something I'm going to put #4 shot through if there's a turkey between me and it! lol

Last year I had 3 hens in 3 days kicking my decoy. My uncle gave it to me and I'm sure it's over 10 years old...works just fine!

(It does look sweet as hell though and if you get it, I'll just be even more jealous of your turkey hunting professional gear!)

I never thought I would turkey hunt. In fact I used to think it was the dumbest thing in the world to chase a bird around and kill it. Now it's the funnest thing for me to hunt. Maybe its just because of how I hunt them I don't know but I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is after I kill one having to clean the thing up and pull feathers off the skin...

Just breast the dang thing out. The rest is crap meat anyway. ;)

Agreed. Breasting them out is the best way to go. I plucked last year's bird and I didn't think it was all that bad, though... definitely easier than plucking a canada goose, IMO. Best way to pluck them is to hang them upside down from a branch, out in the open somewhere, and just start pullin... don't even worry about the mess you make. Go to town on it, then use a pair of needlenose pliers to yank out those deep quills that break off in the skin. Singe it with a torch, rinse, and marinate.
