I have been 190 for the past two months. After Tracie said I needed to put weight back on, it was easy to go up 10 pounds and I've stayed there with ease. Actually I've been eating like shit since Strouds because my schedule has been so jacked up, but I'm very active and am obviously burning what I take in so that I don't gain any additional weight. I'm going to get back on my healthy eating kick after the holidays. I honestly believe my body is where it wants to be and as long as I don't turn in to a lazy bum, I won't balloon up like I did. Despite not eating well, I'm not eating near like I did when I got heavy. I still feel great for the most part and being down 50 pounds sure makes life easier!

Congrats on maintaining your weight loss. I understand how difficult it can be especially with kids and a full schedule. I'm hovering around 250 which is about where I want to be. I had a rough workout today and missed a 585 deadlift. I really need to work on my lockout.

Well I hit PRs this week on all my lifts. I benched 325 for 3, squatted 455 for three and deadlifted 500 for three. I'm really happy with my squat progression. My deadlifts could be better as I still struggle with lockout and I was a little disappointed in how heavy that bench felt. I'm really focusing on form this off season and it should pay off in the long run.

Well my form work is starting to pay off. I squatted 475 for 2 sets of two and 485 for a set of two. Pretty pumped after those sets.

It's a marathon. As long as you get back to it that's what matters. I've been eating like garbage since Friday. And I'm loving it.

Pretty amazing to see my body store weight like crazy these past 45 days. As mentioned, 180 was too small and even 190 was iffy, and now I'm 205. I gained 25#s back in short order and oddly enough, on purpose. But it's scary to see my body be so greedy with fat stores! I've been keeping a log of "cons" about eating a traditional western diet while I worked on just gaining weight in the worst way possible since I couldn't gain it legitimately early on. Only a few more days left in this experiment and I can't wait to get back to the old diet. Next year I will only take December off and will do my best to stay on point in November. I never recovered from our Missouri trip this year and hunting season is such a tough time to stay on point; throw in the holidays and it's easy to get off track. Thankfully I know exactly what diet/meal plan works for me and have the desire to stick with it. It was cool to take a little vacation from the grind, but I am ready to go back to work. My brain needs it more than my body...

My goal for 2017 is to eat what I call a modified-paleo diet 90% of the time through the week with a cheat day on Sunday and Monday as one of two 18 hours fasts. I want to execute that for 11 months of the year in conjunction with maintaining my active lifestyle which will include 3-4 days of exercise. Weight will no longer be a concern and whatever I weigh on this plan is what I weigh. To be the best I can be at all the things I like to do and am responsible for, I need to take care of my meat wagon!

I imagine a few of you on here are in similar shoes and I know there are guys out there who want to improve their health. Don't be afraid to speak up if you have a question or need advice. Several guys on here are pretty knowledgeable on diet and exercise, so there's lots to be learned if you are looking to optimize yourself.

Good luck with your health and fitness goals in 2017 TOOville!

I stepped on the scale a couple days ago. 200#. Going into hunting season I was right around 190, lifting weights and running 3+ times a week. The duck season came in, and my trip out west, then my trip to southern Ohio, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas...

Need to get my ass back in gear!

I need to get my fat ass on point. Been a solid f'n year of packing on pounds. I was at about 187 this time last year. That's too little for me. 200 is a pretty good range. I'm at 225 now. Heaviest I've ever been.

Need to stop drinking beer. That's a killer. Could also up my activity rate.

Need to figure it out. It's been a good year, but it's time to get into f'n shape

I'm done drinking beer. It's not the calories, it's that it makes me feel like fucking shit everytime I drink it. It doesn't matter what type or quantity either.

Starting my 2017 health goals out on the promising note: a nose like a leaky faucet and the classic "drained battery" feeling. On a positive note, I weighed in a 205 on the nose, which is about where I wanted to start my year. I expect to settle around 195-200, so the extra 5-10#s can keep me warm through waterfowl and then it can go!
