Need Some Suggestions Please...

Probably going to buy a XBow this summer and need some suggestions.. Not putting down my compound as I love hunting with it. Mainly getting the XBow for bear hunting as our bow season prohibits hunting out of a tree over bait, unless your a 100 yds away from bait.. So the XBow will eliminate the movement factor in close (less than 20yds).. Bow will also be used deer hunting for a change of pace. Price is not a determining factor here... THANKS

Any certain speed or power you are looking towards?

I'll also guess by other conversations, that weight would play a part of this also. The lighter, the better. These things are a royal PIA to carry trough the woods, not sure how I'd feel about packing one in 2 miles.

"J" Ten-points definitely getting looked at... Giles.. Speed is definitely a factor... But is it necessary??? With speed comes noise, tuning issues with broadheads, etc.... But on the other hand speed is always a plus.... I think??

Ten Point or Excalibur, for sure.
If you can go to an event where both companies are exhibiting (like a Deer/Turkey Expo), go to both booths and handle their stuff and pick what "fits" you best. I didn't like all of the Tenpoints (and they had them all), but picked one that I liked, then bought it later.

It was already zeroed from the factory! I didn't have to change the scope till I changed arrows.

Excaliburs are also great, deserve a look.
Just find what feels good.

NWOH and Dan... Thank's.. A lot of people like both those bows.. WyvernCreations is a great source.. My brother just both an Excalibur 355 I believe.. He hasn't shot it yet so he has no input.. Picked up Ten-Point the other day in Gander Mountain... I liked the size but not the price tag.. A lot of people rave about Parker and the customer service.. We'll see probably looking to spend 900-1000....

Yeah, Excalibur is nice but expensive. Would love to own one but as long as my barnette stays demon free I'll hold off on anything new.

I have a Tenpoint Vapor that I would part with (Only because it's time for something different again). Has a brand new unshot string and at least 3 arrows. I'd let it go for 900. String only got replaced as they sent me the wrong one, so I just went ahead and put new one on. Has the acudraw 50 set up.

I was in the same boat with the Ten Points. So I compromised and got a Wicked Ridge which is made by Ten Point. Same company, same warranty, same customer service. I absolutely love it. Something to consider, especially if it's only for some part time use and you don't wanna spend a knot. It's not the fastest out there but has high kinetic energy which = knockdown power. Everything I've shot with it has been a pass through and gone less than 40 yds
