I basically said the same thing and went out to sit and enjoy the woods. It's nice to be able to get away and just be "out". Not a bad place to be mentally. Stressing doesn't help, just go out and sit fellas. You never know what will happen or when it will happen. But I can promise that if you don't go, that'll be when it all comes together...and you'll be sitting at home wishing you were on stand. Trust me, I did plenty of both this year and sitting out in the woods was much more enjoyable.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being in the woods as much as the next guy but when it gets to the point where you're forcing it then it's no longer fun. And isn't that the point? I've logged plenty of hours and miles this season and consider it a successful one. But it's just that, a season. Seasons come and go and I'm sticking a fork in this one. But come July I'll be so deer crazy I won't be able to stand it [emoji41]

Just trying to give you a little bump, or anyone else reading.

I'll be taking my daughter out tomorrow evening for the last hunt of the season. She's excited and wants to go so that's enough reason for me. If deer show up and one gets shot that's even better but not important at this point.

On a side note I just heard the other day that hunter safety courses can be taken online soon.

Addy and I have really been pounding it, trying to kill our #2 buck. Our #1 shed one side two days after muzzy. We have been very close so maybe tonight is the night! Good luck!

Jeremy just out of curiosity how low did you shoot? You have a pic?

See below. Not a proud shot. Just thankful she died and I was able to retrieve. She was further than I thought when I shot and I had to hold at full draw for a long time. Take those out if the equation and I still could have done this though. Just how it goes sometimes.

Nothing waiting for you in the traps? I'm leaving mine out, if my calculations are correct the yotes should be coming through tonight.

That line hasn't produced in three days so I snapped it. I'll wait until the snow stops and run another line on the same farm. My other lines are still out. My daughter loves running lines with me but when it's nasty out I hate bringing her, hard to keep her indoors though. Lol
