I put up the story in the bow hunting section on 11/14. Just got him back from the taxy last week. He is 153"

Above said you killed him on the 8th but after going back to reread your hunt you said you arrived on the 9th(Wed) and shot him on Sat which would be the 12th, right? Either way, you were in the right spot to have so much rutting action around you that short trip! Having a number of does near estrus near your treestand will do it every time!
Btw, what did your arrow hit that put him on the ground at 50 yards? Must have been near his pump station?!? Great job:smiley_clap:
Lots of nice mounts in here! I have a few, but nothing that will drop your jaw. Makes for a nice office though! I've since done a lot of rearranging down here, but the mounts are still all here.

First ever long beard and first ever mallard.
Probably my most impressive kill. This was a 15-year old banded blue snow goose from my 2011 trip to Missouri. I was told that it was the equivalent of "killing a 200" deer. It was hatched in 1996 or earlier and banded in July of 1998.
This was my first ever mount. Killed in 2004.

Good catch on the date, it was 12th. It was a pump station shot and he never knew what hit him. Im just glad he ran down the hill and not up...
Actually, no. They came over the horizon like fighter planes. 7 birds and 7 blinds with a bird lined up with each blind. Really got lucky that I could even claim it, let alone shoot it. Most of the time on those snow goose hunts, it's chaos and it's hard to tell who shot what.
Those snow geese we saw in Missouri were definitely a sight to see. I didn't know they flew so high.

I finally finished my turkey from last year. I did the same thing to my brothers from the double we killed opening morning.
