Spent an hour in an area Gordo suggested so I could "educate" one of the guys that works for me. He's never found a morel and hasn't spent much time in the woods in general. I found these in the first 15 minutes, then located some that need a week. He's headed to the Maumee tomorrow to fish, so I gave him the morels in exchange for a fish. Pretty good trade in my book!

Glad you found some buddy!

3 an hour is pretty close to what I've done last two days. Its takeing me a good 2-3 hours to have a decent sack. Hopefully that number spikes way up before this year is a wrap

My nephew found 49 nice yellows today in just over an hour before he got poured on. This is northern Hancock county. He said over half of them were a little dry, maybe been out for 5-6 days

I'm taking my ass to the woods tomorrow morning, the grass mowing can wait.

I've found a few. I've been hoping to get out to a patch I haven't been able to check this year. Made it out before baseball practice and found great big mushroom stumps. Someone found em!

I found three this morning. My woods is probably done. It's a swamp and there is so much green crap growing up now that there are only a few places where it is possible to even see a mushroom. Bummer.

Another sure sign that my woods is done. I've found the last mushrooms of the year by this tree for about ten years. Found this one this morning.
