Or if your behind a car that's turning left, your turning right, and the guy on the other side is turning left. Pisses me off when the guy on the other side turns knowing damn well I might be going straight or turning right. When he turns left and I go right I get right up on his fuggin bumper.

If I understand your post, you're the asshole in that situation.

He's talking about a green light two lane. You are turning right or going straight. The person infront of you is turning left. The oncoming person across the intersection is turning left and sees the person in front of you is turning and assumes he can whip his turn before you have a chance to either go straight or turn right.

If u are second in line and both are turning left, it is common courtesy to let them go. Life is not a race.
And if you would run up on my bumper, I'd kick it down a gear!!! After all, I am in front! :smiley_crocodile: I always do this to a tailgater. I could five a fugg how close they get. Closer = even sloooowwwerr. They eventually get the point.

Left turn yields on green. Just because the person in front of you is turning left and there is a two second window does not give the other person the legal right to turn into oncoming traffic.

On the way home going 60mph on a SR I had a scion pull out in front of me. He managed to reach a whopping 35mph before I was behind him.

It's almost like people don't care if they know you'll stop or slow down. One of these days I'm going to get tired of it and need that number to get the tiger on my side when I T-Bone them. In reality I could probably make a good living hitting at fault people instead of stopping or braking to avoid them.

Exactly, it isn't a race. So rather than take a chance by turning, wait your turn😎

I am not turning into oncoming traffic if the guy on the other side of the intersection is also turning left.

So let me pose this question to you traffic law experts...... You are the ones in front turning left and both of you have cars behind you who are going straight. U guys gonna sit there all day and night!!!! Who goes first since you don't have 'the legal right to turn into oncoming traffic'?????? I'm interested in your answer. rotflmao

I highly doubt that due to your prior comments.
Still curious as to what the 'law' is if you have 2 pompous bastards unwilling to wave someone on then?
My guess is they both have the right of way at that moment. And if the asses behind them stood on it and T-boned one of them, they would get the ticket.

Joe has gone crickets on this one..... Wonder if he is stuck at an intersection trying to turn left somewhere???

You put me in the left turning situation, my previous comments were about me being behind the left turn people. So if I was in the left turn situation, I would wave the other asshole on to avoid having the guy behind me go straight or turn right. Problem solved.

Come on Chad - just answer the question... What is the 'law'? I am sure you ain't supposed to just sit there and wait till it goes red so you can turn.
Aggressive drivers drive me nuts!

Sorry. I was a little busy fucking my wife instead of arguing about traffic laws.

The law says quite simply left turns must yield without an arrow. Nothing else matters. No other excuses. If a driver turns left and causes an accident with oncoming traffic he is 100% at fault. No excuses, no amount of I thoughts. In Ohio it's called failure to yield causing an accident and it's a mandory court appearance.

Let's say i'm traveling along at 60 mph and a car way up ahead of me in my lane is turning left. He turns well in advance of my arrival and an oncoming vehicle turns left in front of me and I T-Bone him. He failed to yield to oncoming traffic and caused an accident. The vehicle that was turning left in front of me is 100% irrelevant. It doesn't matter if I'm 5 foot behind him or 500 feet behind him it is irrelevant. Oncoming traffic is not defined as just one car at the front of the line.

Joe to is incapable of stating what the law is with my scenario. He would sit there till it turns red I guess.
And how many cars in a line have to have their left blinker on before the driver on the opposite side can turn left?
There is plenty of time for both to turn and clear the intersection and have everyone get on their merry little way.

Incorrect. I have told you many times what the law says in your scenario. The law says all vehicles making a left turn must yield to oncoming traffic. It is very clear, concise, and to the point. Oncoming traffic means ALL traffic. Just as bigslam pointed out below.

If a driver gets hit by oncoming traffic while making a left turn then it's pretty dang obvious there wasn't enough time to clear the intersection. Thus he did not yield to oncoming traffic. Therefor he is at fault. Simply because he assumed he had enough time because the opposite car was also turning is not a defense, it's an excuse. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/593bc948b326e/20170610_062126.png?

Two opposing vehicles turning left at an intersection, both should proceed simultaneously. The aggressive assholes behind either vehicle do NOT have the right of way until the intersection is cleared, provided both turning vehicles do so in unison. If one of them is an idiot and waves the other on, they have forfeited their opportunity and then must yield to oncoming through traffic. This only applies to a single lane of traffic in both directions as I previously thought Chad was referring to.
