Thanks guys. In this contest it is a hunting call competition. It can look good all day but it has to be able to produce the sounds of a hen, along with being easy to run. It'll be a true test that's for sure as the judges are some of the best callers around.

Got a nice gift from twireman in the mail today. Old timers told him it's chestnut, he thinks it might be oak. Either way it's 120 years old and I appreciate it!

Thanks Ryan! It sounds amazing, absolutely rips, ear piercing loud, and I love the looks of it! I just turned another one and it's got some really cool grain, and what looks like a couple really little knots in the handle. It's like Christmas every time I turn a piece, never know what I'm going to get
I also think I've found my own personal design. Every striker maker that I've seen has their own design and they stick with it. I think I'm keeping this one.
