My season is over. I had a great encounter with an 11 that is gonna be a stud next year. I made up my mind a few weeks ago to let him walk if given the chance. So I shot him with the video camera.

About 15 minutes behind him was the 8 I was after. When he came into the clearing the bad news hit me... he shed one side. So, it’s now shed season! Lol

I consider it a win that I could’ve killed the 11 assuming I sealed the deal properly. And it’s a bit of closure knowing the 8 should survive to hunt next year as well.

That is a win after the number of dead deer you saw this year Mike. Could have killed him. Chose not to. That is almost as good as tagging him. Good for you buddy. Way to enjoy your season!

Great video Mike! That is a big win. You beat him and the 8! That's every bit as good as filling your tag, and not nearly as bloody! Congratulations. Catch and release deer hunting beats having to drag a carcass every day of the week IMO!
