Amish spread like a disease. Ain’t a good spot in Ohio without them right down the road.

That being said, it still sounds better then living in jersey.

Dave... It's only hunting property... Wife wants neighbors.... So we have a budget and going to try and find house for her and property for me... This prop has a fixer up house on it... So I figure could have some TOO get together there...

I've had some good fun hunting the guysville area, specifically some chunks that touch the hocking. Something about a water way like that. Everything seems to thrive

Won't buy without mineral rights... J does a big buck come with every land purchase in Stark...
Agreed. Sadly every jackwagon thinks they're sitting on a billion dollars in undiscovered natural resources and its only a matter of time until they become the next shaleonaire. So if you want the mineral rights they want a fortune for them. Stupid shit. The reality is for the vast majority of them the mineral rights are largely worthless and always will be, but you can't convince them of that. They think their property has the next big find of unobtanium under it.

Hebbardsville..
I work with a guy that owns a big farm in guysville, he has some guys that come up from Louisiana and hunt it, and that have some good luck! Working in that area, I see signs of alot of nice hunting and big woods. But its Athens county. So taxes are insanely high and you have white trash on every corner of ya

I'm in Canaan twp. Can't complain a bit. Look at a google earth...around me it's nothing but woods and fields. We have 80 acres, been here for 5 years...only once have I had a guy on my trail cam...walked the other way 5 minutes later. Neighbors are key.

I think the neighbor thing is key anywhere. I was fortunate when we bought our camp that we have some really good neighbors. The good thing is I think both of our neighbors are likely to own the property for a long time. I am actually lucky in PA for having the same thing.
