That would make it worse. You know I have legit medical mental issues...a project like that makes me crazy. I can turn on a tv and literally forget about the world.

How does this effect things like races or buckeye games?
Just depends what streaming service you plan to utilize. I've got Netflix and Hulu Live. Hulu Live gives me access to pretty much all college football games and NASCAR races. It's about 40 bucks per month.

It hasn't impacted any sporting events to date. $69 for internet, $54 for PlayStation Vue App and $15 for Netflix on fire stick.

I found not having a TV guide channel to be the strangest thing, until we came across Vue. This is a change that I would recommend to even the biggest critics.

I still need to make this step but don’t trust our internet. Seems to always be going in and out. Maybe I just need to except the fact that it wouldn’t work in my area. 😐

On Reddit I can get various sports feeds. https://www.reddit.com/r/NHLStreams/ I need to find how to cast it to our smart TV, but just usually watch it on the computer. Also with a good digital antenna you can get a lot of local channels.

I have found that I have been watching sports less since we cut the cord. Not saying that is a bad thing though.

I'm still stuck on HughesNet (and data restricted) so I don't think I can do anything. I live 1300 feet deep off the road in the woods.

At the end of this month, we are switching back to Spectrum for their 12month special promotion of internet + 150channels for $45/ea. After all their damn fees and taxes, it'll be $135.

Reason(s):
1. The current internet speed can't keep up with all the devices pulling data, causing the fire stick/show to either freeze or skip.

2. Both fire sticks and controllers haved acted up numerous times over the last 2+yrs, one stick finally gave up and we are down to one TV.

3. Current price of internet + PlayStation Vue + Netflix, is a about $10/month higher than the Spectrum deal.

I'll play their game for what our family wants and uses. Still more than I care to spend on both but still cheaper by $50/month then where we were 2yrs ago.

And then after that promo is over you get slapped with a ridiculous bill. But you can call and complain and they put you back on the newest promotion which is still more than the original. Screw those jokers, I pay them a flat fee for internet that's it. We got netflix. I don't have to have sports, if I did I would get a long range antenna to pick up local stuff. They're cheap and easy set up, I know a few friends that have made their own that are fairly close to a tower.

That's the playing the game. I'll cancel 2wks prior to the end of the 12months.

Sounds like your requirements differ from ours. I have 3 children, 7/6/3, and I enjoy sports. Netflix only and no sports is NOT going to work for us.

What's ure internet + Netflix total - $75?
