In addition to the gas mileage, it’ll throw off your speedometer at higher speeds....when I put bigger tires on my truck, when my speedometer said I was doing 70mph, I was actually doing 75.

J... I don’t think it will have an adverse affect on my mileage because my original tires were 31” tall and these are 33”.

It'll affect your gas mileage in some way. It's taking more effort to rotate a 33" tire than it was when you had 31's. What's the load rating on that setup?

Yes Chad but not enough to deturr me from making the up grade. Lol
I lost a solid 2 mpg when I switched from 31s to 33s on my F150. That did include a level kit too. But I don't worry about mileage... if I did, I would drive a Prius instead of a truck.
Just stating that it will drop your mileage lol. I'm only getting 13mpgs in my truck with 35's and a 6" lift according to the dash. If I need to go somewhere far and don't need my truck I'll drive the wife's escape.

I just hit 45k on my bridgestone revo 2's would like to replace them before winter gets here hard. The revo 2's havent been too bad execpt for use in wet clay. I had bfg a/t ko2 on my tacoma as the factory tire and liked them alot. They have more side wall tread and a more aggressive pattern then the revo 2's. I was thinking of going back to them because gotten back into off road in the mud snow and ice. I need a 265 r16 70. Also have been thinking about a set of wanglers. Basically i want a more off road centric all terrain.
The Toyo M/T has great road manners for a mud tire. Exceptional rain and snow traction as well. Or are you wanting stick with the A/T?

I understand that, if you chain up, you can run about any tire you want. My favorite AT is what you have on it now. Hard to beat the normal use traction on those REVO’s. You mentioned clay, but they clean out with some tires spin about the same as the BFG. Just really shine past the BFG in snow or ice. Sure one looks more like an AT...but performance wise, I prefer the Bridgestone. It also doesn’t have dry rot issues.
Toyo also has a in between tire now that I have zero experience with.
I’d also imagine on a Taco you get a crazy amount of miles out of a BFG....so thens there’s that.

Do you think those tires would be ok to drive to Ohio from NJ? I have AT’s on my truck now and they are useless in this mud around here. I need to get a more aggressive tire that will do fine on the highway as well.
I think I mentioned this before in this thread, but I'm running the hybrid Toyo RT's. They come with a warranty, which you won't get with an MT, and they are little more aggressive than an AT. Best of both worlds to me. I haven't had them in the snow yet, but they are fine in rain, mud, sand, and fairly quiet on the road.
put wrangler duratrac on my truck had them for over a year and they work great, seem to be wearing good, and are not too noisy

Ended up getting a good deal on a set of BFG KM3 265 75 R16. A bunch of the guys i work with have bfg km2 or km3 on their 4runners, fj cruisers and tacomas. They seem to wear extremely well for a m/t. Everyone told me to put the 265 75 r16 on it because they fit the stock trd tacoma and are a little wider taller tire. I didnt believe them entirely until after i drove it. Sure enough they fit great. I mounted then myself on base at the auto hobby center. I will probably just pay someone to due that in the future. Mounting the tires wasn't terrible, but i don't think it was really worth my time compared to the 40 bucks I saved. So far the bfg km3 is behaving very nicely on road. They dont seem to be any noisier than the revo 2 a/t tires I had on the truck previously. I will probably go romp around saturday on some state land. I wanted to go today but it is at toyota getting new leaf springs as part of a recall. If they want to put new leaf springs on an eight year old truck I won't complain.

Tacoma is looking good Tom! I put some new skins on my Tacoma this year too. Since I don't plow with that truck I tried something different (and much cheaper.)
I believe this is the tire I ended up with. AT tire but not overly aggressive. Good tread life warranty. Surprisingly decent in the mud (what little mud I've been in.) Clean out fairly well.
