Taking my wife out tonight. Walked in right at 3 and bumped a yearling doe who is currently in estrous and a 1.5 yr old buck. Buck just stared at us, I grunted and he started to come back. She almost had a shot. But in the blind now over clover. Looks nice and green thru the snow.
Congrats @5Cent and @Bowhunter91 nice ones! I hunted til 1030 and had a forky come in a work a scrape I had just freshened up with JVS. Does and bucks have been visiting it this week during daylight. That wind was pretty rough at times

It’s been totally dead out here since the group of does came through. Been in this stand for 10 hours now and I’m ready to shoot a deer.
I couldn't take the temptation anymore. Felt good to zip one again. Spent last 5yrs eating buck soup chasing biggins, freezing my tail off and missing family time. Enough! Strung up and skinning has started.

Good day in the woods but came home empty handed. Dinner hot coffee and the fire was nice to see. Back at it in the morning I guess! Think I saw around a dozen deer so can’t complain.
Saw 2 doe at 5pm and a buck at last light. No shots. Try again tomorrow.
I give up. I gave a second buck fair warning over his back this evening. Missed 2 now and that ties me for what I have missed all my seasons hunting thus far.
I did get a selfie with Jr today so I know I'm in the right spot.

Congrats BH91 and Adam! I saw 7-8 does and had a 100" 8 cruise through. They started shelling corn across the creek around 5pm, I'll be back there in the morning.
