I know I'm going to sound very Big 10 biased here. They are solid though. Penn St and Michelle St are better than their records show. Indiana, Purdue, Wisconsin, Iowa are solid teams. Maryland isn't great but not horrible. I swear Nebraska is the best 2-7 team in the nation. Nobody is talking about Northwestern but they are solid. Rutgers and Minnesota suck. I hate to give credit but will give credit where it's due. The Maize and Blue are solid. They are the best chance in the playoffs for the Big 10.
That said, Michigan St has a solid defense. It is downright tough to run up the gut on them. OSU started ugly today. We have found a bit of running game. Offense wasn't overly impressive but looked better. Special teams have been stupendous today. Martell has come in a couple times and bobbled. Offsides stuff wasn't his fault. Bad snap doesn't help him either. Then again he isn't the normal QB and the flow was a bit off. What I saw late in first half and mainly in second half was heart. I haven't seen much heart out of the Buckeyes this year. It was nice to see them dig down and get hungry. The defense seemed to play better as well. Not perfect. Lombardi came in for MI St and looked good for a couple drives. Then we seemed to find his number.
Time to dial it in against Maryland next week. Then we need to play out of our minds against the team up north.
