A few turkeys for me and savannah. My brother had a good buck chasing a doe around him. No shooting from the youth hunters. I pretty miserable right now decided i could pick up a pellet stove by myself last night and when i set i down my back said fugg off. Cant hardly move without tensing up in pain.

Big bodied 6 point followed the script. He walked down my trail at 20 yards broadside simply cruising for chicks. I’ve heard 4 shots within a mile. I’ll stick it out until 9 then call it a weekend. Rain coming this PM so football, popcorn, and beer sound attractive right now.

Greyson and I wussed out. We didnt get home from Ann Arbor til after 11 last night. Decided to sleep in and go to church. Back out this afternoon

Got down @9:00 & back at the shop @10.

Grabbed my trail camera cause it's having fits.

Still hunted on the way home with the wind in my face for about 1/2 mile.

Came up on two more antlerless deer that were bedded within 25 yards of me, now headed straight towards our home.

That makes it 6 deer encounters for this morning for me and of course, none of them were on my hit list.

I also spooked a beautiful 'Great Horned Owl'.

What a gigantic bird of prey let me tell ya!

Quiet as can be while in flight 'TOO'.

Not sure if I'll make it back out this evening or not.

It all depends how much I get done this afternoon,

I have plenty of things I'd need to get taken care of around here, especially catching up on all the fallen leaves again.

I’m headed out to hunt from 2 to dark. Hoping the neighbors have already ran the deer onto my property or maybe they’ll drive one to me while I’m out there. Or maybe there will be a hot doe since there’s a ton of them hanging around and bedding there? Probably get skunked lol.

I'm out. A doe and twins that were smaller than my dog and this little guy was it. Taking the rest of the day off to hopefully set my new lathe up.

I missed this guy by 4 hours this morning. He showed up while I was in bed. He's my 2:30 am regular.

Skunked this morning, landowners son shot a doe and we helped track and drag it out.

Secured a new boardering property that we’ve seen some movement on so that’s always a good day.....
