Update on the wives 17’ GMC @35,555 miles:

Transmission had always shifted like a bucking bronco but they finally did something about it. Changed fluid and did some new download on the shifts.

Brakes had a shake, so I had the rotors turned. They said they were glazed.

New running boards getting replaced because the stainless steel is rusting.

All in all, she still loves it and that is what matters.

BTW, those of you that pay for bumper to bumper warranties and don’t have running boards and bumpers looked at, shame on you. One little spec of rust, inside/under/behind/on it anywhere gets replaced for free.

Lol, Dave, I'm sorry man, all I can think of is that poor truck hauling that camper to Athens on them winding, hilly ass back roads. Sweetness they are replacing the boards.

I've yet to find a pair that doesn't rust out with road salt. I didn't even bother with em on this truck. I always feel bad for my wife.

Yeah, I’ve worked the truck a few times. I’m not bashing GM by any means here. I smoked the brakes just going to Paint in the spring for our fling. Truck would be a real monster with a good set of brakes to stop all that power.
