Being in chemical valley, I know dozens of operators and other "plant guys". I don't know how you guys exist with the lack of sleep and terrible sleep patterns. Pretty sure I'd die...

About a year ago I worked my way into a local company called Component Repair Technologies. We are the only ones licensed in the world to do specific repairs on jet engine turbine sub components. I work on the marine, industrial, and military side as a technical program manager over LM2500, LM2500+, LM5000, and LM6000 Compressor front and rear frames, compressor stator cases, and bearing sumps. I look at incoming inspect reports and write the order of operations the parts need to be repaired in based on engine manual and in house proprietary repairs. I’ve been there for about a year and a half and it’s very high stress but it is a lot of fun and a lot of interaction with customers from all over.

Self-employed since 2000, DataVision Solutions.

I’m an Independent contractor/consultant within the high-tech industry.

Network architect & engineer. Data-center infrastructure specifications and designs for small, mid and large companies.

Today, I support clients remotely mainly throughout the country and from time to time I’ll have to head out to do installs.

Before that, I worked for corporate America for just over 10 years as a Director of Information Technology for Merck Pharmaceuticals & Company, responsible for over a million lives a week regarding their pharmacy operations.

Prior to that, I was an electrical contractor doing all kinds of construction work throughout the tri-state area for city, state & federal governments, including the military.

And then finally, many moons ago, I served in the USAF/SAC as an Electrical Power-Line Specialist with a high security clearance stationed at some of the most remote locations within the county.

Just ending my latest chapter working for parks and watercraft as a maintenance/janitorial at a local park.

Next chapter starts on the 15th of October doing maintenance repair for a state agency. Will be union and working 10-20hrs of OT per week so I'll have 20-40hrs OT per pay. That will last from now until February before it slows down for a short time just to ramp up again off and on all summer.

Comp time check next year will pay for my black bear trip to Fletch's place lol.
