Real quiet here this morning.

@7:40 a coyote crossed the field behind me and I watched it go right into its den just on the other side.

And,,, my first kill with the new bow, a perfect shot!

The fat so never knew what hit him and just like that, he was done.

Business is starting to pick up. I’ve seen 3 love struck two year olds, 7 does and another deer on the move. Looked to have a decent rack but too far too fast

Im headed back out and will be in stand by 1130, saw two shooters about 20 mins b4 dark. Going to move climber too other side of woods where both were hitting a scrape. I think ill post a bloody arrow today . Just a feeling. Good hunting to all whos out today. South wind.. Should b an active day.

Had a helluva morning. At first light had a borderline shooter 8 go by. Had bow in hand but because I had to think about it I decided to let him go. About hour later had a doe bring a shooter 9 in range. We grunted and snort wheezed at each other for a few minutes. Pretty cool to have him answering me. Thought for sure he was gonna come closer to investigate. Unfortunately he never entered a lane and walked off with her to the bedding area.
While he was in, a small 8 tried to get in on the action but thought better and walked the opposite way. Around 10:30 a nice young 8 walked by offering several shots. He was the third biggest on the day and below is video of him. He will be real nice in a year or two.

I watched a decent 8 pt. buck Sat night chasing does. Seen a 9 last night and a 10 today~~all chasing does.

I’m back in the same tree I was in this morning. I thought about trying down the road but I’ve had a shooter close to this stand on the last three sits. They just need to be a few yards closer on the other side of these damn trees....

Sat til 11. Helped the neighbor drag a doe back and then had Chipotle and beer for lunch. Now I'm back at it. Had a monster under me this am 20 mins before shooting light. Hope he comes back out. Property not though. Fuck deer hunting. There are no deer here [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Back at it. A new rub line has appeared. So I know they are pumped up just need them to follow the script.

Settled back in...

Huge, very active deer scrape right in front of me, 15 yards away.

First confirmed buck that I've seen in days right in front of me @15 yards from about 4-4:30, completely downwind of me. I just got settled in moments prior.

I swear, I must have walked right by him staying downwind without bumping him.

Pretty cool!

Now he's left the immediate area, heading towards the creek to the North.

Hopefully this is a good sign for things to come.
