Just grunted in a solid 8 that I couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen yet. Busted a tine and scars on back but looks healthy

I just got settled in the back yard tree stand. Haven’t really been busted here this year but I wanted to give it a break. Last time I was back here was Friday evening when I saw the big buck chasing a doe. Pretty nice out, cloudy slight SW breeze and 40 degrees. Good luck guys!

That all depends on how many of them dumb up and go to one of the many corn piles 50 yards off someone’s back porch during gun season.

Skunk. Finding lots of rub and scrapes. Must be old and/or night activity.
Saw a dink 6-8pt bed down at 150ish yards this morning. Nothing else other than squirrels, the damn chipmunk, birds a raccoon and a possum.
Pulled the trail cam card, nothing on it recent other than me. Gonna hit a different patch of woods tomorrow.

I’ve been at it just about every day for well since last time I posted minus Sunday. Saw a few had one come in behind me Saturday. Other than that it’s been really slow here. No dirty does ran buy few small bucks here and there. I hunted today till 11 today and went to work. Contemplating just going to work tomorrow. Don’t have to don’t need to. But damn. It’s slow. Midday seems to be my best sightings. My boy did get a doe with bow the other day. So that’s just as good as a big one for me. Well see what tommrow brings.

Heading through Pickerington this am saw a monster chasing a lone doe! Hopefully get into woods Thursday and weekend with my boys.
A new day, slept in and did some of the morning routine with the kids.
Went to a different patch of woods. Got set up, went to take the photos for y'all and this guy wandered through.
Not sure if he barely has nubs for points or got his butt whooped and broke them off.
He gets a pass this year.

Yep. I seen a video somewhere a couple years ago where this big old shed buck was whipping the shit out of this younger buck with a nice rack. Them old boys are mean
45 deer seen since early Monday morning to right up until now. All within 5 short sits.
At the moment, there's a decent 9pt Buck that's hooked up with a hot doe that are bedded within 40 yards of me, right along the Southside of the ridge to the West/my left, under the cover of the honeysuckle patch that you see in the photo on the top right. In the top left is the hot doe.
Just on the otherside of that same ridge, there's another, but smaller 9pt Buck that's also bedded roughly 50 yards straight away under the cover of the honeysuckle patch over there, which you can see in the lower left of the collage. The tree rub is fresh and I discovered it on my way home from this setup right along the South creek.
That's all the deer I've seen so far today, which is much less than the last two.
Currently, I'm stuck!
I'm waiting on the two lovers that are closest to me to get up and leave the area so I can get down and take care of some things.
They have no clue that I'm very nearby and I don't want to blow up my spot trying to get down to leave. I'm in my climber.
I'm also currently downwind of them, but that's supposed to change at somepoint, which I hope to be hunting in a different location by then.
