Read it twice so I don't think I did. Send me a PM if you feel so strongly about it so this quits getting derailed.
Read it again then....
Actually, It needed said right here to reach a handful of people at once. 3 were out of line and sucked in a fourth. The poster also needed to know he was not alone in thinking the remarks were crap.

We coaxed the story out of him. No one got disrespectful or anything. We simply played the game and now have all the information besides the score sheet in one place. I posted a pic of me sitting on a JDAM that I had built. As cool as that is, with no story, it’s just a random pic. Kinda like this was to start with. We also got to see a pic of other members deer. This thread is cool and very interesting. To have taken the extra step to actually send in the jaw is something that I’ve thought about but haven’t ever done. This thread and his post might motivate me to do so if I ever kill an old deer.

I have a buck that the taxi said was 10+. I should’ve sent that jaw in but I have no proof besides some guys word. I never laid eyes on the jaw myself. I can tell you that it was a mature buck with a giant hump and saggy back that dressed out at 146 lbs. to say the deer was on his downside would be an understatement. I’m not sure he would’ve made it past the winter and I was lucky enough to put my hands on him.

This is my oldest. Trail camera pics go back to 2011 when he had distinguishable rack. Saw him and videod him out of bow range in 2015 with my son in the trigger seat. Got video one other time but I do not recall the year. 2013 or 2014 I think. He was dubbed "the old man" in 2015. Killed him in 2018.

Don't let these guys screw with you. I get where xbowguy is coming from. There were some goofball pics posted. What the freak does Giles in fatigues have to do with your post? Disregard. We are happy to have you here. Congrats on an old deer. I doubt I ever shoot one as old as the one from last year again. It is very difficult to track year to year unless they have a unique rack that doesn't alter much and you have pics every year.
Congratulations!

I've been extremely fortunate to kill 3 6.5 year old bucks in my career. I honestly think it's a fluke and given the current state of our local herd, I don't expect it happen again. 8.5 is definitely a rare thing and regardless of score, very impressive. Congrats again on a great buck.
Thank you, hes my best buck all around. Age, score, and more importantly the method on which he was killed!

Here is the same deer from 2014, he bedded in that soy bean field 2 days in a row that year. I was too afraid to stalk him that year even tho the wind was perfect for it. I had him at 63 yards broadside and didnt shoot on the last evening. Always regretted it. Never seen a deer bed in that field in the 5 yrs we hunted the property. 2019 i spot and stalked that buck in the same field
Yea. - I can really see the resemblance!!!
Nice buck!

Wow thats an ancient deer! This one was definitely not his best set of antlers but he had not started to drop body weight yet, he dressed at 228. I have a young buck from 2016 i killed who grossed 136 5/8, we think he was only a 2.5 yr old, dressed at 156 and just had a tiny body. Was my biggest buck at the time i couldn't pass him up at 7 yds. Definitely regret not handling the teeth properly on that deer.

Awesome! Now post that scoresheet for anyone that might’ve missed it. 😂👍🏼
