Hello! I'm in the Columbus, OHio area and I'd love to get out and shed hunt! I often go in CLE area with family/friends. I'm not sure where to go though and I'm not sure I'd go alone as I'd get lost. If anyone doesn't mind a tag along let me know! I'll be in Howard, OH this weekend and going around the kokosing and areas there with my boyfriend! ( he goes shed hunting and looks for arrow heads a lot but lives in CLE).

Hi. Welcome to the site. I'm not sure what public land is around you but another good way is to knock on some doors. As for getting lost use google maps or some other form of mapping on your phone that has. GPS. Good luck.

@Jackalope has also done a great review on here about OnX. Which is an app that is perfect for someone like you two trying to get into this. There is so free apps also that are pretty good.

Just talked to my friend out in Illinois, he said there were 5 bucks out in the field by his house yesterday and all 5 were still holding both sides..

I’d say 95% of the bucks I’ve seen are still holding😐... such a weak winter, no stress on them.

Have no idea? We go out 2-4 times a week for anywhere from 3-8 hours. Usually stop around end of March when the dog park opens for the season. Usually lose 15-20lbs. Last year he found 33 not including dead heads. View attachment 95402
I remember you making a thread or some post last year. Always cool to follow someone that really gets into it!

Is that a gator?

Shed season so far this year has been a bust. Went to put some tools up and noticed my toolbox was soaked, looked up and could see light. Shit! Pulled the ladder out and dead ash tree dropped a limb and split the sheet. Gotta patch the shed roof now. Hope your sheds are doing better than mine!
