?s because I don't don't want to read the whole thread......family it seems, fishing any good for keeping a 6yr old entertained? Looks like a cat fishing hole from pics which is cool as hell. It could be a weekend me and the boy make an appearance......should I bring my boat?

It’s a good crappie lake, plenty of channel cats too. Fishing the lake is dependent on water level. Sometimes in May it can get high and muddy. If they are dumping excess water, the spillway is a really good spot for crappie and cats.
Honestly, he’d likely have more fun on the bank with other kids. There will likely be other kids around his age. If not, my kids are pretty good with younger kids. My youngest is 10. Prepare him for the nerf war!

I’d bring one. There is a good bit of bank access and folks have been catching good numbers from the bank below the campground right now. But the lake is at winter pool, won’t be in May. If you want to fish and tell lies with others, bank fish. If you want to catch enough to feed the villagers, bring a boat.
Last 2yrs has been very high water and limited bank success but it's nice to wet a line with the kiddos.
I might take a fishing pole this year. Reaching blind into the cooler is fun though, fish around for a while and see what I pull up.
Looks like my famy will be down for the day on Friday. Will head home in evening. Greyson has soccer Saturday

Definitely thinking about it. Only waiting on the final baseball schedule for Allen which should happen within the next couple weeks. If we can come down for one night we will.

OK.... We're gonna make it. Got cabin #04 starting Thursday morning....Gonna need to know what day I need to make burgers on?.....May be having a couple cobblers there as well.
