The numbers are going up w positive results. I don’t work in the medical setting but in the first responder field. Government is shutting public places down except for goods for the populous.

Will do I hope it slows for everyone’s sake. Problem is, no one wants to shut everything down until it’s too late. Do it early and not much happens and everyone says we didn’t need to and wants to sue. Do it too late and they cry why didn’t you do it earlier and you put my family at risk. It’s a no win situation

Just me , but I'd wait till it warms up a bit .
So the largest hospital system in Ohio has suspended all elective surgical cases as of 4pm yesterday. This is not only social distancing but also conservation of supplies.
In regards to supplies I've heard of multiple other facilities (ambulatory surgery centers and hospitalso both) that are getting close to running out and their orders for new supplies until this summer.
Virtually all of our medical supplies and drugs are made overseas with the majority being in China. If you have any medications or other medical supplies you NEED to live I strongly urge you to stock up the best you are possibly able. If you have young children in diapers or drinking formula stock up the best you can.
The warehouses only have so much stuff, and much of the production centers of the world are or have been shut down for weeks. There's gonna be a long recovery on some of this stuff.

While I understand the rationale, this is probably going to push the panic button harder. There is also the irony of a lockdown occurring in a liberal open board area.

China has closed the last of it's temporary hospitals that it built for the Corona Virus. Stating that demand has fallen off and they were no longer needed.

If that is true, let's hope the warmer weather helps and if that's true too, hold your breath this doesn't hit in November if there's no vaccine.

It's true. They were successful because they closed off a giant area containing over 100 million people, made everyone stay in their homes for almost a month, closed all businesses except essential services. They even pushed an app to everyones phone that showed either a green or red square. If you were infected or exposed to an infected person and they identified you through contact tracing you got a red box and we're not allowed out for any reason. They also froze bank accounts, if you don't have any money you don't have a reason to be out. They also drug lots of people off to concentration camps and there are still.media people who are missing. Crazy stuff that could never happen here in the US.
Has the normal flu stopped killing people with compromising health issues or is Covid-19 getting all the credit now? I mean let’s show bell curves for all these viruses or at least mention the death rate in real time along with this new strain. It’s like normal flu deaths don’t matter now!?!?! WTH!!!
Everyone needs to step up their cleanliness efforts and be considerate of others regardless from here on out! This is definitely an awakening as to how unprepared we all were and how unwilling many are in changing their daily routine and pampering of themselves.

Never say never, Joe. There are large numbers of people who would love nothing more than to implement that kind of control here. Just as long as they are the ones in control. Heck, there might one or two members on this forum who seem to be completely on board with this kind of behavior. Never underestimate your opponent.

Day 2 home from work with pink eye or allergies. Not getting any better with prescription drops since saturday morning. Going to see a doc hopefully get an allergy test....can't do shit with blurry eyes.
