Not bacon obviously as it's like you pointed out, a topping or add on.. But things like steak, pork chops, chicken, fish etc will shift to a grocery vs a restaurant demand.
I think your thoughts on the American people is off. I am 1 of 4 children. I also happen to be the only one that can cook. My brother ate chicken nuggets yesterday, my younger sis ate Ramen, my older sis ate rice and kale while her husband asked me how to make chicken breast.

Yeah there will obviously be those that can't cook. But the shelves at the grocery store show an obvious uptick in demand. Not as much as an increase in demand for pizza rolls, hotdogs and other bullshit though.

True. That’s why I said earlier it would be cool to see what has increased in sales earlier.

Seeing how we fed 5 people for $60 with Texas Roadhouse prime rib. . . I think they are happy to unload product. 6# prime rib plus sides I should add.

I don't cook. Will you make me some chicken breast Giles?

Shelves will run dry on meats. Same dumb asses hoarding TP. I'm not scared. We have plenty of deer in the freezer. I would miss some bacon and sandwich meat is convenient.

I read a blog post yesterday from a doctor who is the leading authority on the carnivore diet. He made some interesting points based on consumer data that we will be even unhealthier as a country after all this, making us even more susceptible to death from the virus if/when it returns. The data on the increase is prepackaged food was sad. I don't think it's lack of know how that's preventing people from cooking, it's more laziness than anything.

I agree with this, we started with the easy foods and comfort foods within the first week here at home. I got off track and joined in with the pizza pockets for lunch and cookies or cake in the evening after dinner. Good thing is I have to check my sugar and once I realized the 8 lbs I quickly gained was equating to higher sugar numbers I smacked myself back into reality. It's tough though with a family that never watched what they eat. Hopefully me cooking dinners on the healthier side will help. Being home and able to cook dinner right after work allows for that, the working late and then the 1 hr drive home I was often just glad there was something ready when I got home.
