At fly down I had a big gobbler at ten steps. Unfortunately he was over my right shoulder and I couldn’t move because there was a hen ten steps straight in front of me. We’ve been working this same bird all morning. He has moved off with his hens finally and I’m hoping in the next hour or so he will be back. He just gobbled and sounded closer.

Pa youth hunt success. Last year my buddies boy can hunt it so I’m happy we got a good longbeard for him

My other nephew got a good one this morning!
No turkeys in range today, but this weather is phenomenal. 45 minutes to go!

No good for us this morning in PA. My daughter hit a branch with the arrow when shooting at a jake and we called 3 or 4 longbeards to about 35 yards, but they wouldn't come another 5 yards or so to get on the other side of some brush. My son and wife were out but they never really got one to work.
Birds in my area are henned up bad, don't care about calling. Or I've over hunted them. Good thing I'm gonna give them a break for a few days after today.

You just have never "been the hunted"....
Nothing better than a talkative bird in the spring...

Yeah,I've killed birds in the rain,But I hate killing wet birds .It is what it is .

Going out solo tomorrow in the rain. Not sure where I'm gonna go my brothers are tagged out on two doubled yesterday and today out of the same blind. I'm gonna wing it and go wherever I have time to get when I wake up.

Have a first time turkey hunter at camp. Good bowgunter, wabter to try longboards with bow, said take the first jake that comes in, well, second day hunting, he gets three mature Tom's at 7 yards....

There is just nothing pretty about a wet turkey. He was a good one. 21# 11” beard. 1 1/2” spurs.
