Best thing that happened to our chickens is when our GSP, Hank, got into the coop. Wife was pissed. Hank was confused thinking he should have been rewarded. Kids were ecstatic to not have to take care of them anymore. Chickens were. . . .Well let's just say it looked like an explosion at the feather factory.
My loved having chickens, they were like her pets, a Fox got them, but rest assured when we move, she will once again want chickens. The only thing we had that was worse was ducks.
That’s what I had to tell myself, whatever makes her happy. Because from a financial view, this is dumb. But if it makes her happy, whatever. I spend more money on beer with a return of zero.

I would say the black one is definitely a rooster. The white one at back of feeder with head up and the grey one that you can only see the tail feathers. How old are they 7weeks give or take.
Roosters will have more defined tail feathers almost pointy and the combs on their heads will be more red and defined/larger than others. That’s usually a pretty good indicator they are a rooster.
Floki knows I’m talking to him. He also knows that I noticed he called out the black one first. I was just letting that slide so this conversation didn’t go sideways.

Lol y’all killing me. Yes I can tell which ones will be in another month. But the tell tale signs are not present at this age. The roosters will get pointed feathers and have the raised ones also. The hens will all be round w no fliers coming up. I know I have a few as we looked at the amount of rows of feathers on the wing when they were born. Thanks for the help, apparently some of y’all are “cock” connoisseurs [emoji1787]

I got the deal of the century as far as chicken coops go yesterday. 16 feet long seven foot high in the front and 6 feet at the back. $200 well spent dollars.
