Black Bear Attacks Man.... REALLY????

So according to this article a man in a neighboring town was ATTACKED by a black bear... Totally sensationalized news... Bear was simply looking for food in the man's garage and when the two bumped into each other, the bear did what is natural and ran him over trying to get out... Believe me, if the bear wanted to attack him he would have made mince meat out of him... So the state killed the bear needlessly for looking for a free handout... But that's our fish and game for ya....

trap and relocate a problem bear who doesn't fear humans and then somebody else might really get hurt. it's costly, and the bear just becomes somebody else's problem. killing the bear is the right thing to do. who here wouldn't kill an uninvited racoon for raiding their garage? no different, except for a bear can easily kill you and a coon can't. best solution is to have more bear hunting where bears need killed, but asswipe politicians and retarded bunny huggers tend to stand in the way of that sometimes.

Jamie... You are correct in saying more hunting is needed... PROBLEM SOLVED... Currently this will be the third year our governor has state land closed to bear hunting... The average birth rate in Jersey is 2&3 Cubs per sow sometimes as high as 6... Do the math... But.... Guess what our politicians are saying there are more encounters this year with bears due to: COVID 19 with more people home...

I said a bear can "easily" kill you. lots of people have no idea how powerful even a smallish black bear really is, and if you surprise one in the dark they can smash your skull or rip your friggin' arms out of socket like you are a rag doll. of course I realize that a racoon can kill a person, but they cannot do it easily. even a really big, really pissed off coon is gonna have to work pretty hard at killing an adult human being. I'm pretty sure I can overpower a racoon to save my own life. I'm positive that you or I cannot overpower a bear that means to do us harm.

I asked a hunting guide when I was hunting bear in Canada if I stumbled across a 80 pound bear while waiting for him to pick me up in the dark, what were my chances if my gun was unloaded and he attacked? He told me that he’d probably find my body when he got there. A 80 pound black bear isn’t that large but they are probably ten times stronger than humans.

Bears aren't gonna kill you with their teeth... It's their brute strength they have in their front legs and those claws you gotta worry about... When I was about 18, me and a friend went camping up near Tupper Lake in N. Y. State... There was a dump near by that bears came to in the early evening... This one night there was a sow there with her Cubs... This couple was there with their kids and the asshole father told his daughter to go and try and ride a cub so he could get a pic... Sow sent the kid flying through the air with one swipe... Kids arm was hanging on by tendons at the shoulder... Was not a nice sight... Here's a spot that I dumped some anise on a rock last year in Dec. ground was frozen solid... Look how he tore the ground up... I love playing around with them... But I respect what one could do to me if he had a wild hair up his ass...

I’m not disagreeing with your statement on bears at all. I’m just saying I do not want to tangle with a coon either. I’ve seen them in action.

Bears in 'dax' have been bad this year. Since most of the campsites have been closed from SARS-COV2, not much in the dumps. So bears have been searching out bird feeders. My parents in Speculator have lost two to bears.
