This has to count for something. I got home from work after 13 hrs only to go up & reset my blind in the wind & blowing snow. There was no damage. I stopped at Wally World & got longer stakes. Anyways, while I was doing that, guess who came by ..... Mr Split brow! He had been following a doe. I hadn't got a pic of him in a good spell.

I was only 20 yards away on the other edge of the thicket...lol. I'm on vacation again & super excited about tomorrow morn, & everyday after. He's gotta mess up & come thru in daylight. Other bucks had been around earlier this evening as well.

That might be EHD. Hopefully not, but that’s not a good sign seeing that below the neck like that.

We have EHD in the area right now. I'm not close to Ric's area. EHD gives them fever. The bite from no see ums. A mite is what I was told. They act weird. Attacks brain. They act weird and die rather quickly. Tumors happen in deer. I wouldn't think EHD if I saw a tumor.

I'm up, caffeinated, pooped and ready to jump in the shower. It's chilly & windy. I'm Not really confident in the farm at this point. The only shooter I've seen was the one that was spooked off by mini me movement about a week and half ago. But, it's the rut, and they have to move some time, especially with that wind storm shit show we had yesterday. I'll be up in the stand in about 30-45. Gotta love the rut and hate the rut. I’m out hope I hope I picked the right spot today last 2 years I’ve had bucks cruising thru this spot on nov2 from 8 to 1. Problem is I haven’t seen any deer sign up here this year. Hope history repeats itself. Good luck all.

Three antlerless so far with two in bow range. Bottom middle of photo is one of them. A little chilly with a mild west wind. Not a bad start.

Been settled in this pine stand for about an hour now. Haven’t had shit on the camera here all season, past two days does were in and out of here 7:15-8:30. Not a single buck even in the summer on the mineral site. First unantlered deer that comes in is getting it, no questions asked. I’d like to kill the mature doe but I know I’ll regret that in a week when the bucks do show up. Button bucks are tasty nonetheless
