Looking for guidance... seeing lots of does in my cams at night but no bucks following them at all. No bucks seen in weeks on the cams but still the does showing up only at night. I’m hunting in Creston. Do you guys think it’s just not time yet here? I’m confused as fuck!! Not a single deer seen during daylight and I’ve sat about 12 times so far. They are here, just not seeing what everyone else is seeing.
Are you hunting a wide open area or are you close to cover/bedding/browse? If you are a long way from these 3 things you probably aren’t ever going to see much. That’s about the only answer I have unless they somehow know you are there. After 12 empty sits I would be going elsewhere.

Drove from Summit to Ashtabula this morning and saw a total of 3 doe in the fields. If you’re getting out later might be a good idea to hunt hardwood beds and water sources... big boys still gotta drink when it’s hot. Good luck everyone!! I’ll be getting out this weekend hoping to fill my tag

I have a bunch of pines on my place. The entire northern hemisphere population of black birds just landed them. I can’t hear a thing!
You mean like these noisy bastages?!?!?

When they take off or land from within 30 yards of the tree you are in you can feel the force of the wind they push and the “woosh” sound is amazing. Carryon.....😎

Very good possibility that you have a hot doe or two locked down with most of the bucks staying near while the dominant bucks tend her or them. If another Hunter is lucky enough to be close to said locations they’re having the best hunts of their lives no doubt. That’s why it’s recommended to setup up near doe bedding or thickets where bucks like to pin does down in.

Why would anyone drive to Ashtabula?
