Enjoyed the podcast, reading people’s post you get to know them by reading. Seeing them ties it all together. Looking forward to the next and can’t wait.
As for you younger guys w very young kids, the best hunting days of your lives is in front of you. As a father who loves the outdoors, there is nothing better than your kids having the same passion as you, often they end up a better outdoorsman then yourself. A lot of us got the taste of the outdoors from our father or uncle. We had to figure most of it out ourselves. You will find that spending that time w your kids and with your knowledge, they become a better outdoorsman than you in a hurry.
Loved it and can’t wait for the next podcast.

Wow, another great listen! As a man with the first baby on the way, listening to your alls insights on fatherhood was timely and very well appreciated.

The topic that @jagermeister brought up all of the additional outdoor opportunities and taking the time to enjoy them is surely something I need to continually remind myself about, not sure my boy when he is 2-years-old will be into soil health - haha!

Overall, just a great podcast. Very listenable and full of digestible information that I will be thinking over for a while.

Great job!!

Just remember that not all of our kids will enjoy all of our endeavors. I have two boys that never really took to the outdoors and it wasn't because I didn't try from an early age. And that's ok.
100% Mike. They may not have taken to it like you did, but you raised two good kids. I'd like to think that the little they dabbled into your hobbies, definitely played a role in that.

My son and daughter love fishing with me, run dogs and scouting for deer. My son enjoyed rabbit hunting but other than the socializing that comes with gun hunting for deer he could take it or leave it...

Awesome! We used to hunt the mallard club back in the day before Maumee bay state park was built so I can relate to the cattails lol. Early 80's with a Bear grizzly 50# recurve. Never killed shit back then but it was some of the best times of my life. That story brought back some good memories. Thanks!

Another successful episode!
My struggle with kids and the outdoors was trying to balance sports with finding time between work and woods. I’m just now getting the most of the outdoors experience with my kids, it’s definitely a tough sell to kids of today!
Don't forget balancing girlfriends in there as well.
