UTV Reciever & Speakers - What's on your ride?

I love music. When doing farm chores, since I'm a new UTV owner, I've been able to take my little Bose (not waterproof) out with me but it's got an internal battery and not mounted etc so it's PITA and I need to up my audiophile game in TOO.

Looking for a bluetooth receiver with AM/FM and 2 or 4 speakers (channels) that mounts to the UTV and pulls power from the on-board battery. I'm not trying impress the folks in the next county, I want quality sound at a modest level, usually when I've parked, the UTV is off and I'm swimmin in the pond, twiddling with a new treestand or just doing some chore and want some background outside the cabin.

So what do you like and recommend for sound on a UTV? Pics of how you mounted the receiver and speakers would be great. Also where does it fit in the guide below?

JBL charge series is waterproof, and it's what I'm using

I was never interested in a unit that mounted and ran off of the vehicles battery. I don't like the idea of it draining the main tool of choice.

Golf cart we use the JBL charge also. Just toss it on the dash.

I have a JBL Flip that's my "haul around" music option. With the quality of speakers today, the little travel speakers that go anywhere and are much less $ than a full setup, are the way to go IMO.

Yup, I understand, I had a spare battery on my offshore fishing boat wired that for accessories, power plant and VHF had it's own. On Terra Firma I'm not so worried as floating to the Yucatan...

That's what I do/did with the Bose, toss it on the dash, bounces around, slides , not great. So wondering what others have done.

We have the JBL in red, don’t remember the model but puts out great sound and lasts all day blasting it on the beach or around the house…. When I get home I’ll see what model it is… I have a cheap one I use for the boat, that might take a back seat here shortly too the JBL…

I have a jbl charge as well and I love it, use it for all kinds of outdoor stuff. In my Pioneer, I installed a JL Bluetooth controller, it's running off a 300w jl amp running two 6.5" JL wakeboard speakers mounted to the roll cage, and a small kicker sub under the seat. The amp is around the same size a a vhs tape, and it's marine grade, so you can hide it just about amywhere. A lot of it depends on the sound quality you are looking for, and the amount of money you want to spend. You can buy sound bars made for utvs that have the Bluetooth receiver, amp, and speakers all self contained and they sound pretty good. Just depends how loud you want to go. There are cheaper options that sound bars and stand alone systems, but the audio is poor.

You could take a Charge and use it on your kayak. It also works as a backup phone charger if needed in an emergency.

So after going thru a number of sites and reading I went with JBL Flip5 and got a mount for the UTV, I like the sound - and I did take on the kayak yesterday and while trolling for a couple hours it was very nice. Ran BT from the phone in its WP case and it didn't burn down the battery nearly what I anticipated. I use the Phone as backup comms for the VHF I take out. Getting a USB charger to mount in Red (my name for my UTV) and going to make a USB w zip-ties to the mount I'm gonna use for the FLip5.

The output has two smart-charging Female USB-A ports so one for the Flip5 and one for the phone - ties to the on-board battery.

Decent reviews on the mount and brackets for the flip so plan is mount this all up and try it with one speaker. If I feel I want a bit fuller sound/ not necessarily louder, I'll get another flip 5 and Party-Boost them together and run the 2nd USB-A and add another mount.

I don't race my UTV - it's a Mule for reason, chores and work so I expect these to hold it just fine.

X2 on the JBL's. Ran a couple all weekend. I also throw it on the wheeler while doing chores.

Had the windows background set to Camp-2021 folder and the UTV speaker pic flashed by so thought I'd update.

NOTE: for TOO gatherings any JBL that supports PartyBoost can connect and you can connect up to 100 speakers from one source.

The speaker holder I bought was trash. I've come to love/rely on "GearTies" for all sorts of things around the farm and mounting the two x flip 5's works great. Almost a year in the saddle and I have not had one come loose or otherwise need fix'n.

The Flip5, and I think some other JBL's, have a feature called "Party Boost" in my case I select a one Flip5 speaker and link it with the other Flip5 via the Party Boost button and they figure out L / R and work as two channel stereo. One Speaker R one Speaker L

The MotoPower connection off the battery has a manual switch so it only draws when I turn it on. I'm very pleased with the sound and when I've used it as "background" park it by the pond to go swimming those little speakers do a great job filling the space.

When running chores or other times that I want "SOUND" they will bump it louder then I want that close to my head!
