Anyone using the “saws blade type” of cutting heads on their weed eaters… be sure to wear a proper face shield. Debris can and will fly off of them with more force than a regular string trimmer head. I got a helicopter ride and have a piece of steel in my neck to prove it.

They are great tools but are easily taken for granted because they don’t seem like they can hurt you too bad.

I would recommend safety toed boots also. I had on my Keens and after seeing how well it worked and knowing how hectic trimming brush can get, my toes were a little fearful. It would rip through lesser footwear and lay you open in short order.

I used a toro mower. It was a rental but they are all about the same. I’m going to buy a DR mower than likely. Very maneuverable

I hesitate to put a # on the total number of hours I've spent on the business end of a weedeater in the last 20 years, but it's a lot. I've got my favorite choice of string and have used plenty of poly-blades, along with a saw blade and triangle brush blade. When I stopped to buy more poly-blades, which I hate because they curl up and get caught in the head all the time, I saw this hanging on the shelf. I've not seen this style of grass blade before, so I asked the old guy working there what his recommendation was amongst all the brush cutting options and he suggested this. For less than the cost of 2 packs of poly-blades, I picked this up and after running it last night, I may never use polys or the saw blade again! He said it wasn't great for woody stuff, but I beg to differ. It handles stuff up to 2" without hesitation. Sharpening should be a breeze also. I spent an hour trimming up our four-wheeler trail and I'm sold!

Update please. Finally out of string and looking for something a little less agrivating. This chore sucks enough by itself.

After blowing a tire on the boat trailer back in June I decided that was the last time I use a 4-way or tire iron. Went out and bought a battery powered impact. Since then I have changed out all 4 tires on the boat trailer (bought new tires all around). I also changed another tire on someone else’s boat trailer. I will never go without one in the truck. I was worried about Murphy’s law and the battery being dead when I really needed it. So far it hasn’t been an issue. Not to mention it came with a regular home charger and a 12 volt cigarette charger. Worse case scenario I will plug it into the truck and wait a few minutes. Much better than the alternative! 😂

Dad has a 23hp Kubota with a 60" belly mower on it that's 8" at the highest setting. He always tells me "Remember, it's not a brushhog." Well, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do and my Cub Cadet has done some brush cutting in it's day! And now you understand why I break a lot of shit! 😂

I've had to do the same with my zero turn on the plots outback. Time just slips away sometimes and you gotta do what you gotta do. :ROFLMAO: #FULLSEND

I'm in the same boat, Jesse. High Voltage acres causing undo wear on my Cub Cadet. I've mowed some serious shit with this machine. My mower does not know it's not a brush hog. 23 hp. Kohler Command handles it fine. bearings not so much, lol. I just cannot justify a bigger tractor for what I do with it over there.
