Hi everyone! My name is Alex and I am a resident of Western PA and this will be my second season hunting Ohio. Wasn’t sure how non residents were accepted on here so last year I just sat back and followed threads especially the “live from the stand” thread. Enjoyed it quite a bit and realized you guys seemed quite welcoming on here so this season I have decided to hop on board. My buddy, I, and sometimes my girlfriend all bow hunt public land in Ohio. I will be making the drive this afternoon for an evening opener sit. Hope everyone has a great season, and I look forward to following along!

Just don't forget the golden rule of the IKS threads and you'll be just fine🤣. I kid, welcome and join right in. How'd you all end up doing last year?
Well there were no harvests, several opportunities to harvest does for me but I was waiting on horns. My buddy messed up a chance with a 130s class 9 in the rut and missed a running big buck in gun season. He was seeing lots of deer though in bow season. And the girlfriend had one chance to harvest a 100-110” 8 but it didn’t quite come together for her. Overall for our first year and me and her only hunting it one week during the tail end of the rut, I was happy with how we were able to find deer while they were heavily pressured. I’m spoiled with private land around home so the public is a totally new experience. I learned a lot and am looking forward to applying that this season. Hoping eventually I can find some private land or a lease.

Welcome! I think you'll find this about the most NR friendly lace around. Looking forward to reading posts about your hunts.
