Congrats MaineR. Welcome to TOO. Two year old thread to join in on? Odd starting place but glad to have you.
Social skills are lacking nowadays aren’t they!)..I’m just curious what makes this odd?
Maybe I can give you some insight on why I would respond to this post.
PSE made multiple versions of the dropped. They made an XT; Epix, and another one I can’t recall at the moment. I was trying to find out if there was any actual differences when I came across this thread. Upon reading the responses I was annoyed by people and there materialistic brand loyalty. If you think a Hoyt is better than a Matthews or is better than a PSE, that’s like a Chevy guy saying it’s way better than a GMC.
I get a kick out of people that spend $2000 for a compound bow and shoot two year old spike horns, or think their bow is somehow better than a guy who has a Cabela’s $300 RTS package. Really the only thing that’s better is the marketing behind the bow. More expensive bows and or the brand name on the bow does not make it shoot better. The person pulling on the D loop is what matters!)

That, "My brand is better then the rest only hold true for beer and vehicles..."

There is Busch Beer and Toyota, then there are all the rest of the wannabe's and neverwas's!

Unless you are a Stiller fan. They think there was no NFL before the 70's and there kids first words are, "How many Super Bowls does your team have?"

There I said what ya'all was thinking anyways for you!

But if you think it also hold true with crossbows, I shoot a half Excalibur half Stryker!! Honest I do!

And none of you even know what a bad bow is! In my younger days I was sold, ya SOLD (cuz none of ever by anything bad we are always sold it) a Darton SL 50 Mag compound bow! That thing had more creaks and noises then two old granny hags on their front porch rocker, bickering over how to make corn bread...

I once shot a deer at 10 yards with it and I swear that arrow hit broadside! I had to shoot through pucker brush to get it to deflect straight! I had to hang a tarp to catch the whole tear when paper tuning! The limb slap was so loud the deer looked straight up for rain!

Thankfully I still managed to kill a couple bucks with it thanks to rattling them in while climbing with my Baker treestand. The bonus with that stand was dropping the wing nuts sounded like acorns falling. I gues thats why they are called wing NUTS! One buck I killed I actually saw the exit wound on my side of the deer! The sideways flying arrow wrapped around a crabapple tree and entered the off hind quarter severing the femoral artery as it came back at me! Those Razerback 5's were good cutters, boy!

Rule #1. Don't ask our opinion if you don't want to know our thoughts.
Rule #2 Don't be a twatwaffle.
“Opinion is the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no knowledge, no understanding.
The highest form of knowledge… is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding. And Twattwaffles must always be served with ketchup” Abraham Lincoln

When you shoot a Darton baby, you don't have to "mew" at the deer to stop em. the creak and the crack turns them into Mc Kensey 3d targets except with wider eyes!

Oh, and the other buck I shot jumped straight up at the sound of those limbs slapping the riser caught his rack in a low hanging limb and he broke his neck trying to get loose! I have no idea where that game getter arrow got off to. Cuz hey! I got me a 4 point!

Yes. Social skills are lacking. So maybe I'll reiterate what I said.

It is a bit odd to dig up a thread that is two years old as a first post.

Glad to have you.

I can't spell it any slower. But I'll try.

I don't give a shit what kind of bow you shoot. Thanks for joining the forum. Feel free to make yourself at home. Love to hear more about you.

Pretty tight group around here. So when we are around our virtual campfire busting balls about something. It aint because we don't like it or you. It is ball busting at its finest and from the finest people in the land. We have lost some good people and bad people around here because of it. But those of us calling this place home understand the lines.
