It truly gives me joy to see an individual building something custom. In the point and click world of cookie cutter homes being massed produced, peoples idea of designing a home is the same as car buying. Fastest cheapest rules king. Youve got an awsome home i hope you can relax soon. Great job.

Thanks man it is a labor of love for sure, I just wish the wife would sometimes want something done the simple way. Lol

next up, how complicated can we make installing pantry shelves.

Here is a little teaser, wanted to try something different for the guest bath. The lower part is the walls are covered with rusty corrugated metal, like the bar, for the top instead of barn wood I wanted to try something different.

I have several red oak beams so I planned on having them ripped by a sawmill that uses a circular, but these beams have nails in them so that is a no go.

So I got a used beam saw with a carbide blade and started ripping the beams myself. I am loving the results, the look of the fresh cut wood, the saw marks, the gray part on the sides. More pictures to follow.
