Thanks Dan, I will. I was 17 the first time I went hunting on crutches. Mom was mad at me then, now Krista is trying to sound like mom did. Mom is just making jokes now.Big picture - stay safe
I remember that, you gave me two arrows and asked which one, and i must of picked thhe wrong one. She was a hoss - lolHa. Must of been a good day, Dan. . All I remember from those shoots was a steel target deal we were doing with compounds. It got down to me and a girl that was a Mathews pro. We were out to 60 yards or something and shot a couple rounds before I caught the edge of the steel and lost to that kid. Every one of those men, friends and enemies alike, made fun of me for losing to a girl! It made no difference that they had all lost to that girl as well, and long before I did! Lol. That kid could shoot a bow. I don’t think she shoots anymore but her dad does and is still a senior pro. Good folks. Win, lose or draw, I like almost everyone I’ve gotten to know through archery.
Lol. I’ll blame you then.I remember that, you gave me two arrows and asked which one, and i must of picked thhe wrong one. She was a hoss - lol
He still has it. He still has the Buck knife you gave him too. Still have the Cherry Bomb arrah hanging on a set of horns too. Lol. I’ve bought that kid a dozen knives, he still carries yours.
Your baretta is his favorite bird gun too. I hate to take it cause it’s so pretty but I don’t mind letting him carry it. I tear stuff up, he doesn’t.
Ha. Funny stuff. If there is something to drag, I’ll be the guy walking for the truck. I’ve gutted and dragged more than enough for him, he won’t mind doing one for me at all.Go out and kill that hoss you got on cam. If you pull a couple stitches it will add to the memories!
My brother had a stem cell transplant from a matched unrelated donor where they nuke your immune system then plant the T cells from the donor to repopulate your immune system over time. He had non-hodgkins lymphoma. The doctors about passed out when he went back for a check up and told them about the deer he shot and then gutted and dragged out by hand. He told them that right after they told him if he kept on progressing as well as he was he might be able to resume normal activities in 4 to 6 weeks, like return to work part time. He laughed and said he never quit working!
When I read about you I can't help to be reminded of him, Brock!
He actually fought with Social Security who told him he was permanently disabled due to his condition and he wanted them to take their money back!
Fuck that, sit right there and wait for a ride!!Ha. Funny stuff. If there is something to drag, I’ll be the guy walking for the truck. I’ve gutted and dragged more than enough for him, he won’t mind doing one for me at all.

Do you know who's doing the work? I'd like to get mine done and can't find the time or motivation.Mason and I made it out this morning. I think we executed a well thought out plan perfectly. Unfortunately, I did not know the landowner had started clearing the entire south end of the woods yesterday of honeysuckle. There doesn’t seem to be a deer left on the farm. Lol. Doesn’t matter, the anticipation is usually better than reality anyway.
Mason pulled my hang on stand and cams for me. My favorite rut property is put away for at least another year. Maybe next year I’ll shoot one there too.
